Here are some general reminders for DrupalCamp Manila 2020.
Virtual Conference
As announced last March 12, we converted DrupalCamp Manila 2020 to a virtual-only digital conference. We thank our venue sponsor for accommodating us with our initial set-up and planning. We are not removing them on our site page as a sign of a good gesture. The actual event will not be on the original venue, but instead via an online video conference tool.
Use our Schedule Page
All sessions are displayed in our Schedule Page. Take a look and plan the sessions you'd like to attend. Any change or update will be posted here directly so keep watch during the event. You can prepare questions, but we suggest asking via chat or ask them at the end of the session. We advise everyone to take a look at our event Code of Conduct to be guided accordingly.
Online Rooms using Zoom
We will be using Zoom as or video conference tool. We have prepared two (2) Zoom virtual rooms. Each will be managed by our volunteers. We recommend preparing the device you will use to have the Zoom client available and ready. You may visit the Zoom Download Center. Also, try to find a nice Zoom Video Background for fun. :)
We will be posting the links on the website Schedule Page by Thursday night. Just click on the "Room Links" as shown in the example below.
Session Rooms Moderation
We advise participants to be mindful of other participants in the session. We have a few recommendations:
- Everyone is free to join in and say "Hi!" via video at the start of the session.
- Once the session starts, turn off your video, and stay muted during the sessions
- Send a message via chat first in the room session for questions. We have a limited number of volunteers to moderate the room.
Session Recordings
Our room hosts will be recording your session online via Zoom Cloud Recordings. We will then compile these to a playlist in the Drupal Pilipinas Youtube channel. We will also submit all available recordings to online Drupal video hubs like drupal.tv.
Help and Communication
We are opening up a Slack group and channel. Use this invite link to join and may do so now. You may ask questions or share comments, or if you need help with anything during the event. We recommend posting via the #drupalcampmanila2020 channel.
